my dad has just splashed out on a CUBE (i think) with Dura Ace, so am going to hold off buying a new bike just in case his Orbea comes my way.

Got on my bike to work today, first time since last year 11.35 miles in 40 mins. Didn't use my ipod and found out just how noisy my bike really is...

Where is the best place to buy inner-tubes, oh and what ones do I need? Tyre says 700 x 25, I think.

You can go to you Local Bike Shop (LBS) for tubes, price hardly comes into it at >£5 a pop. 700Cx25 is the tyre size and most road tubes will fit that, 23 or 25 being the most common tyre sizes for tubed tyres.

If you cannot get to the bike shop then any online retailer will have them.

Depends where you're based. Decathlon are pretty cheap, if there's one near you

How about these?

http://www.evanscycles.com/products/...=inner%20tubes

I ordered two as I can't find my spare inner tube anywhere! They seem reasonable.

What pressure is everyone running their tyres at?

H'mm good price I think, although I should have also said go to Halfrauds.

Go by what it says on the tyre wall, lower the psi by a bit if its wet. But I never bother too much with this

Well its says 125 psi, so pump tyres up to that pressure.

110 in the front 100 psi in the rear. If the roads a bit harsh that I'm riding over I might drop the pressure in the front to 100 as well as I find it helps reduce the road buzz up through the bars.

The conti's GP4000s I usually run, go up to 125psi ( I think ) I've never run them that high, 110 psi can be uncomfortable enough.

Managed 41 miles today with an average speed of 15.2 mph. Not great, but all of this was in the little ring.

Bit puzzling as the previous day I'd managed 15.4 mph for 20 miles, I'd thought my avarege would have been a lot less for double the milage.

Manage to keep my max pulse down to 182 and an average of 162.

Got my clothing spot on today 3/4 bibs long sleeved jacket, wasn't too hot or cold.

Although I misjudged the wind direction and it was pretty much a headwind home, which was hard work
