Blue ones dont work. The colour dulls them down too much. I have blue bulbs that i got off ebay. I have tred LEDs and all manner of stuff, and in all honesty, clear white or amber only.

As for getting them, Ebay, local car shop. You just need 1.2w festoon bulbs or Dash bulbs as most epople call them.

Hope this helps

Clocks to remove
4 7mm(i think) nuts with washers
1 Multi pin plug

Clocks to dismantle
6 cross ehad screws

As i said, replace all 3 bulbs with 1.2w versions form Halfords, all with the carriers attached. I have tried LED's but thier light angle doesnt light the entire clocks. So stick with the bulbs for now.

And thats from Memory...does that make me sad???
I've just had a bulb blow on the speedo on my curvy. I can see what speed I'm doing over 50mph, but no idea what speed I'm doing below that at night. So pleased I found this thread - &, what a great run-down of strip & assembley for such a major upheaval just to change a bulb. Like others have said, I'm going to change all bulbs while my curvy's in bits. Thanks Vinny.
Just keeping the thread alive for any one else with the same problem.

Talking Re: Changing speedo bulbs on Curvy?

Job Done. About 1.5 hours from start to finish (including 15 minutes trying to get an LED out of the clocks because it fell out of the holder).
I'm not sure what the clocks are like on a Pointy, but on a Curvy, there's rubber grommets on the back to remove the bulbs, so there's no need to take the clock housing apart.
Apart from the messing around with the fairing, the job is quite simple, even for a noob like me .

Thanks mate. I read his post and followed the link but those are discontinued so I went for the product the website recommendedicated as a replacement. Just hoping someone who had done it might be able to have a look at the image and let me know if they looked right.
