Default Changing speedo bulbs on Curvy?

My speedo bulb has blown on my curvy SVS. Is there an easy way of changing it? Anyone done it before?

To be honest it doesn't take that long it s just the hassle... I'd say an hour and a half tops... I'm just to lazy to do it...

I can only see the first half of my speedo and nothing else on the dash at night (I have that many bulbs blown) after that I'm getting done what ever speed I'm doing, so its not that important!!!

As CC says, its not difficult just a pain. you have to remove the entire from fairing/screen/mirrors then the clocks them selves. Word of advice. Replace all 3 when doing so

I have it down to 35 mins to remove and replace the whole lot. Just remember that you dont have to unbolt the screens lower to bolts. Remove it with the front center section

A list(in order of removal)

Mirror pods
1 cross head screw
2 6mm Hex bolts
2 rubber threaded grommets

Each side pannel consists of
3 medium head 4mm hex bolts
1 large head 4mm hex bolt
1 push pin (Underneath front)
1 cross head screw (Front air duct)

Front center section
4 4mm medium head bolts (2 become visible after you remove side pannels, 2 are underneath)
(Leave the 2 3mm small head ones at the bottom of the screen and remove center section and screen combined)

Clock shroud
1 4mm Medium head Bolt (In front of head stock)
2 Cross head screws

Clocks to remove
4 7mm(i think) nuts with washers
1 Multi pin plug

Clocks to dismantle
6 cross ehad screws

As i said, replace all 3 bulbs with 1.2w versions form Halfords, all with the carriers attached. I have tried LED's but thier light angle doesnt light the entire clocks. So stick with the bulbs for now.

HTH
And thats from Memory...does that make me sad???

It's the most annoying job there is on the SV, all that hassle for practically nothing.
