think mine was £21 the first time and £30 the second (insurance replacement)
AFAIK the labour is free at the original dealer (not sure how true that is but was what I was told) otherwise the labour charge can bump it up. |

GIving the benefit of the doubt for a minute here.
Maybe he was just saying that the service should be between 500 and 700 miles, what with 600 miles being the service interval, and that would give a 100 mile lee-way each side.... Thats the only reasonable explanation......

Mine was free of charge but that may have been because I had done the 600 miles in about 48 hours so i already had it booked in for service the day i picked it bike up.

For my second service I paid £112, all in, not sure that was a particularly cheap dealer but it was recent too (2 weeks ago)

![]() Quote:
Could the original poster phone the dealershiop and resonably ask for a quote again and confirm all details are correct? It'd be rather stupid for a good dealer to get a bad reputation due to a mis-understanding. ![]() If of course they are genuinely after ?500+ for a first service, make sure you ask for a breakdown of labour and service costs. Innocently ask what's involved and whether they'll be replacing the powerband at the same time? ![]() Jambo

I tried to hire a bike while mine was getting work done and the costs are extortionate . I was looking at £7-900 for three days so maybe the guy is quoting you for bike hire as well as the service . Bike hire insurance is a killer .
