Heated grips will keep the palms and the beginnings of your fingers warm. They may keep the tips of your fingers warm, your thuumbs may stay warm. The tops of your hands will get cold if exposd to the wind; consider matching the heated grips with some handlebar muffs for complete warmth.
If your arms / body gets cold, then your hands will get cold regardless of if you have heated grips, muffs, thickest glvoes in the world. They are part of the solution to keeping warm hands in winter, but dont forget to layer up and have a good meal ![]() happy winter riding |

Thank you SO much for posting this, especially the link-ups to the fuse box.
Any way to get a picture of the throttle grip post-install? |

I also used the guide which worked a treat.
The only step I had difficulty with was soldering the live wire to the fuse spare connector. How did you manage to get a good soldered connection? |

Sorry to revive an old thread. Has anyone actually managed to solder the wire into the connector box? Am I missing something, can you get in it and take the metal connector out so you can solder it? Also my one didn't have a lug to fit into the throttle, have they changed them? I expect once it's super glued on though it'll be fine. Nick |

I must thank you for making/posting this. I used this guide a few weeks ago to fit my oxford grips (although i just bent the bracket supplied to fit on the clutch lever holding bolts). It was very useful, specially when i had to wire it up to the fusebox.
tldr, guide is awesome, good work. |

Hi
i just bought a used pair of Oxford heatgrips from a friendly org'er, and the photo installation guide here is fantastic, but can i run the wire on the right side? Want to mount the controler put of sight, on the piece of bare frame, near the headtube, under the fairing, right side. |

Reminds me, need to look at the heated grips on my bike. Either they are broken or I can't work out how to switch them on
