You can fit a 120/70 by dropping the bike about 14mm down the forks. This keeps the angle of the bike and the rake exactly the same, so you have the same handling, but you have the choice of tyre.

I presume this is based on the premise that the diameter of the wheel has a 28mm difference in the 70 section in comparison to the 60 section.
Quick bit of maths. 70% of 120 is 84mm 60% of 120 is 72mm which is a difference of 12mm (24mm overall diameter increase). So the drop should be 12mm if you're going to do it at all. Semantics, I know ![]() As stated, I never found the need. Chers, Carl |
