Mpg and how much does the tank hold?

Reading Fast Bikes on the loo yesterday (only place to get some peace). The Long termer they have did over 190 miles to a tank. He reckoned he travelled 40 miles with the fuel light on.
Light used to show on mine at around 155 miles.

blimey, some people getting 90miles per tank?!?

Im getting 160miles without the light flickering and about 175miles before the light goes solid. Blue SK6 2007 Reg

have people tired using injection cleaner stuff like redex?? might help

I seem to be getting about 150ish to a tank on a carby curvy which probably needs a good service

I managed 320 miles to about 37 litres on the last spirited ride I did. This biking lark is getting expensive... but riding sensibly isn't nearly as much fun!

I'm getting anywhere from 39-47mpg on my K3 1000. Light always first comes on around 105-110 miles, but i've filled up at that point and its taken 11.3l on one occasion and 13l on another. I'm doing at least 25 miles a day and only about 15 motorway total, so not too bad really for only short journeys.

The day i bought my SV brand spanking new it cost me £10.20 to fill up. Now its double that and thats since December 2000

I would imagine some people may be "enjoying" their bikes a little more than you

have you checked the spark plugs, replaced them and checked the gapping of them? could also look at HT leads or ignition pack

I'm getting about 150 miles to a tank - to the light. Need to take out a jerry can and run it out 'cos if I've got another 60 miles in reserve then I would quite like to use it and save cash lol.
