There is something about the name....

Whilst Northy makes a very good point in that everyone went "eh??" to "Hayabusa".... "Gladius" - am I the only one who thinks it sounds like a name for a vibrator, or a range of condoms? Or is my mind really that twisted?

I don't like it. Hate the long seat, the colour, and the exhaust. Don't like the name either.

Not bad.I just hope it can be made to handle well.If its light and nippy it would make a great town bike.

Well, it is essentially a Japanese Monster...

so, let's see, there's

Godzilla - no the bike is too wimpy for that...

Gamera - a huge flaming turtle that spins out and slams into buildings; Not so good.

Mothra - gigantic twin larvae that spew toxic silk vomit from their their jaws; accompanied by identical twin human females that sing to the monster to get it to stop spewing at the innocents...etc. etc.
Hmmmm.

Let's see; who's left...

Rodan - Hey! I think we may have a winner!

Air Speed: Mach 1.5 Special Weapons: Fires radioactive breath beam as Fire Rodan
Creates destructive shock waves when flying
Strong wings can create hurricanes when on ground
Sharp beak for pecking
Film Appearances: Rodan, The Flying Monster (1956) Ghidrah, The Three-Headed Monster (1964) Godzilla Vs. Monster Zero (1965) Destroy All Monsters (196 Terror Of Mechagodzilla (1975) (Stock Footage) Godzilla Vs. MechaGodzilla (1994) Origin:
A pteranodon mutated by nuclear radiation

as long as they put a curvy fairing on it and do it blue, i may be convinced.
ha, haven't we all got/had an sv and changed/ upgraded parts.
thats whats getting a budget bike is about.
but sorry the name we can not do much about, just remove it off the panel and put an sv sticker on it.
but if an sv750 comes on the scene thats a differant story, let live in hope
