Ok..

so we set off early on the Friday morning- mandy mum said - is she on the back. is she tied on? ha.. and then- where do you put your suitcase?







up to Hawes.. nice run up there via Burnley and meet a few others - Lucky P made it in an hour after having new tyre fitted- good riding Mike. !

here at Hawes we bumped in to Gracie and Orose and Dave numbers so they joined us on the way up..




Mr Uki in his nice new jacket and his biker boots with built in "lifts" .. tall boy..



up to hartside to meet Puny and Amarko but we were well late- over an hour- so they had to set off ahead of us.. I was telling mandy how nice the views are up there and we were met with this !

we were in the "lodge" right at the top of the hill so we didnt even hear any of the "antics" . apologies for friday night , but we were pooped and by time got petrol and chippy and breakfast vitals from the green welly we were pooped.. so went bed-
nice accomodation though .. own shower and loo and telly were a odsend..

just awesome views- we were up early sunday and off to Skye_






some beautiful places on the way had to just keep stopping-






reached the commando memorial.. very moving- and what a view..

must admit my riding and my bike just loooved those very open A roads. I dont like the tighter bends and smaller ones.. (yea ones requiring more skill).. so dont think applecross woulda appealed to me.. would still like to do it sometime though..


but these roads were brill.. really could open up and enjoy the Rythmn..


the castle on way in to Skye- heard a piper here playing amazing grace- real scottish defining moment that .. loved it- . made me realise that yea - we are in another country now-





Then I came ove rall real Scottish and refused to pay £7 each to go in! so had a hot choclate and a shortbread- SHARED !.. £4.80 still. !


saw this- maybe my next bike eh now I never on my own and Mandy likes touring-

got some vids of skye and the ride to skye..


anyway we got to Broadford and thought it wasnt scenic enough so decided to push for Portree- glad we did.. so picturesque there eh..

stopped in broadford for petrol.. mand went pay - i pulled round the corner.. got off biek had a mars bar- she came back .. passed em a bottle of water- I drank some- she finished it off. I said ta that was nice why didnt you buy pepsi though .. she said I didnt buy it I thought it was yours here on the floor.! agghhhhhhhhh she had picked up a half drunk bottle of water off the kreb thinking I had put it there !..OMG- I was nearly sick .!

Portree harbour- fabbo.!

asked at a hotle- £125 ..! no wayy

so asked at a few B and B and found a nice one..

small shop for pop n crisps for next day ride..


and view to left and harbour are soo soo ace.. we just sat there for 40 mins takin it in- listening to the small waves lapping the beach..





real nice- went for a lovely long walk. then some beer and haggis.. in a nice restaurant then bed knackered..
