Great pics Maria!
Very likely the birds of prey you saw soaring were Golden Eagles. They are a common sight in the glens both to the north and south of Eilean Donan. I sat for 90 odd minutes once having a spot of lunch on the road from Sheil Bridge to the Kyle Rhea ferry and watched a pair of golden eagles soaring above and returning to the cliff face somewhere every few minutes. i'm thinking of going first week October .. but do you think I am pushing my luck too much with the time of year - too wet/cold/dark? leave until April/May next year instead?
