nice one Tsitsi

my excuse was a little more mundane, my shoulder and neck injury just cannot hold up, tried a token ride yesterday and made it 20 miles to penrith and was in such pain i had to turn back home cant hold the weight of the helmet and look over shoulders were a strict OUCH. cant risk doing anymore damamge as i want to be fit for the 23rd may when im off to the pico's de europa in spain and then andorra , the pyrenees , and the south of france.

Honestly no idea, were on the bike when I bought them. The lowers haven't been cut to fit them though so guessing they could well have been OEM and on since day one.

Anyways took the lowers off now, it's a tad dirty behind that bit! If they do go back on they're coming off much more often for a decent clean... though as I was taking the left hand side (side it went down on) one off the flimsy bracket for the bung came off in my hand as I was using an allen key to unscrew it, here's the break once I'd taken the fairing off:

Ah well, off to find an indicator and gear lever and it's back on the road.

Chris, that's a standard Suzuki crash bumg mount, and it's a worthless piece of junk.

The fairing can be repaired, I did exactly the same thing a few years ago. Then I bought R&G bungs, not the cheapest, butthe mounts will never break.

To all those in the Lakes, I hope you all had a good day out, shame I missed it!

Be carefull in the morning, snow is forecast with minus 6 overnight and minus 2 in the morning.

Pete

Blimey Ollie, first an engine rebuild, then a duff battery.

Are you sure it doesn't say Ducati under the Triumph?

Not sure about duff, just suffering from cold weather and lack of miles (and my own foolishness, I suspect, in not making sure it was charged).

I prefer to keep it charged by putting miles on, but that hasn't been possible of late (and its on the third set of engine internals now).
