And finally, just to put it beyond doubt, DoubleD came over all unneccessary and had to try a gay lunge....

I thought thats where it was. But as it so far off you published route I take it some detour was done somewhere

Yep, the route home was open to interpretation to say the least!

We just shot down to Kendal, then Devils, then A65 to Clapham and over't'tops.

Met Peter Wheeler as well, ex owner of TVR cars in his huge V8 powered jeep. He had been hooning around Devils and came across Mels scene. Very helpfull with local knowlege.

Home safe and sound

Good news that Mel is ok..............thanks for the text updates Mike.

Apart from the obvious, a fantastic weekend, spent with great people. We obviously didn't blot our copybook as Martin has said we are welcome to return to the hostel anytime. When it's a bit warmer next time, eh?

Thanks to everyone who came, both just for the ride yesterday, and those who stopped over. Will post some pics soon.

oh crikey-!!!

hope Mel is ok and it hasnt knocked her back in confidence..

dear dear me that pic of the crash it could have been a lot lot worse.. the softness of the ground must have helped with the mud and stuff.. and it seems was not contributory to the "off".. lets face it wet weather or not we have all over cooked it and stood up mid corner and gone straight on-

shame about the bike.. but thank goodness Mel only has bruised pride..

hope she was wearing clean underwear and not those new fancy ones she was on about in a previous thread- ... >> right I must go
