Slark's was an almost stationary drop. DavieSV did his trick with the gaff tape again. Slark reckoned it was better than his original gear lever

Yeah, lost it a bit on honister pass and plopped himself into a big pile of sheep muck

Only damage was a broken gear lever, which now has melodys spare clutch lever cable tied and duct taped to it to allow him to shift. Bodgetastic

DavieSV is thinking of coming up with a kit for just that eventuality that people could carry under their seat...................cos we all know.................if you've got one you won't need one!

Rear brake and gear lever is easy enough, a bit of butchered angle iron and a jubilee clip would be fine as they usually break on the peg part.
If it breaks at the pivot you're boned.
Front levers, you just need to carry spares. That and cut a slot into the back of the lever before you crash so it will snap and leave you with a 2 fingered lever.

thats a really good idea, like yorkie chris said bit of angle iron and some nylon or metal clips would do just fine, that reminds me the once i had a puncture so i started carrying one of those kits with the inflating canisters in and you guessed it ive never had a puncture since
