I can see his Dad's point. If the fermentation really gets going in the warm weather the wine/cider can start frothing and come out through the airlock. If that happens you're carpet will reek for weeks (don't ask how I know )

The explosion risk comes after you bottle it. We made some sparkling elderflower wine and bottled it in glass lemonade bottles. One of my mate's bottles exploded in the middle of the night, spraying glass and wine everywhere.

Yeah, I leave mine in a plastic box to collect any over flow. But if it's in the shed ... I'd leave it 3 months to ferment

My room really smells of sweet, sweet cider. It seems to be going well enough for me to put on the second batch.

In the morning, discard the ice, leaving Quattro Turbo Cider.

Drink as shots, or add back to normal Turbo Cider to increase power

Hmm.
I reckon brown sugar and cinnamon would be nice in this. Alas I'll have to wait until the stuff is here and I've done a normal brew first to try that

Am doing my level best to be a cheapskate like G2D but everyone else must've had the same idea. There are no glass demijohns to be had in the charity shops in Shrewsbury.
