STOP PRESS STOP PRESS STOPP PRESS!!!

Guys and girls, this is a very common fault with pointies and is very easily rectified.

One morning I couldn't turn the key in my pointy and called the Suzuki assist. Some chap from contracted bike rescue thingy was at my house within the hour. I told him how I had tried EVERYTHING and that the bike was only 4 months old. He walked up to the bike, knocked the top of the key with a tight fist - not to hard - just firmly (like when you hit your fist on a table in anger) and hey presto the key turned. Basically the spring catches or doesn't 'spring' like it should. I felt like such an idiot - but he said it was very common. It' s happened just a few times since - little knock on top of key and you're away....

Don't wanna talk about it!

Tomorrow morning however, I can offer any early birds Maryland cookies and/or cups of tea.
