Only sold one car privately and I advertised on autotrader, it went pretty quickly.
Forgot to mention earlier, nice work mate!

Nooooooooooo!! I had a matt black helmet once never again! it shows all the finger prints and any blemishes! worst of all you can't even polish it!

hoping to paint and refit the engine this weekend but not sure what paint to use as it wants to be hard wearing obviously and be able to withstand the heat but don't want to use anything that's going to leave brush strokes.
anyone got any ideas??

If I remember correctly.....I think M+P do a specific engine paint that comes in a spray can, so no brush-strokes. (PJ-1?? something like that!)

I've used Hammerite on engines before, never had a problem, smoothrite though, not the hammered stuff. Again, spray available or hand-paint. Sort of "self-levels" too!

Trouble is, it can be a bit thick to apply and the trick is not to touch it after the first coat until it's dry.

Have a look at por-15 paints, they do enamel paints for engines, high temperature and are the best you can buy.
