little bit of progress this week guys, Took the lights off and removed the light and clock bracket and gave them a nice paint!!

Then i have reconnected the brake lines front and back, also put the clocks and lights back on.

Then it was time to tackle the callipers!!

Then broke it badly!!!!!!

I know IDIOT!!!!!!
I have tried removing the stud and drilling it and tapping it however the thread is knackered so bye bye calliper, but on a good note it does mean i can experiment on it to see how to do them.
anyone recommend a replacement? maybe upgrade??

Is that a front or rear? I've got a set of 274 mile y2k[1] front calipers...

Hah finally LiamSimpson has been caught out all this hard work has really been done by his wife who in my opinion is sitting down taking a well earnt rest and a cuppa. Well Done Mrs LiamSimpson. But really LiamSimpson awesome thread hs kept me coming back to forum for weeks now whilst I scour the for sale ads for my own SVS.

Right today's progress was slow, real slow and i have now run out of dam 80grit!!!! first of all my lovely wife wanted to get involved so she started with the callipers and the discs so off she went!!

all nicely cleaned and painted!!
she then stripped the paint off the disc ready for polish!

and painted and polished the rear calliper mounting plate!

then polished the rear disc!!

in the meantime i was on the wheel!! omg what a pain anybody wanting to do this needs to allow alot of time as the middle of the wheel is a real pain to get in to all the little bits!!!
more nitro mors

wipe off excess nitro mors and use wire brush to get in all the little bits!! (oh and by the way i am on my 3rd drill!!!!)

and after 8 hours of work i have just finished the first grit (and ran out of it) so 120 and 300 to go before polishing!! god i hope it looks good at the end.

hopefully will get the rest done this week so will show you the outcome as i go along!!
