I cant believe I've missed this thread for so long! i've just spent ages reading through as I mentioned in a thread of mine a while ago about polishing the frame.

I wont feel so bad now then if I do this

How many hours labour went into the polishing of the fame? and the swingarm in total? my bike is in bits aswell at the mo, doing a complete repaint, black and gold colour scheme. I would like to polish the frame but a rough estimate on time would be an awesome help

Good work Mr & Mrs S!

Need to take my callipers off for servicing before it gets too cold to be bothered getting out in the cold. What, again, is the black paint you're using. How long did it take them to dry?

believe it or not mate its actually that engine paint from halfords and is touch dry in about 20 mins (depending on how thick it is) and 2 hours 2 cure! so not bad i suppose. looks good though and the only reason its painted is because you can't get inside them to polish!! looks quite good though.

Right mate, if you work on the frame every day which i did and using a proper polishing kit like mine at least 4 days i would say although it depends how far you go, if you polish all the frame inside aswell and all the little fixings and so on it could take even longer but the longer you spend on it the better it looks in my opinion, i wish i had spent longer on mine but its still looks good i think, and will hopefully look much better at the end after final polish and new paint! (Subaru black).

Hope this helps

Cheers
