my mates TL1000 has polished rims with no protection on and he says he has no trouble at all with oxidization, he just autosols the rims when he cleans it.

Right then today i really haven't done that much on it due to other commitments, however help a friend empty his newly acquired garage and found some items!!! Oh and fitted a ground anchor now she rolls thought it would be a good idea. Managed to polish and clean it a bit but not a lot i am afraid i will get more done tomorrow, promise!

oh and fitted a light so i could work in the dark!!!!

found these in his garage

this also which amazingly is for a SV650!!

does need small repair on one of the bolt holes does anyone know a good repair for plastic or should i fibreglass it???

Do it on the side that won't be seen.
