Awww, I only checked in to see your mad project progress and you drop another on us. Congratualtions to you both on a healthy beautiful baby, hope he grows up and becomes as obsessive over cleaning his room!

What a lovely start to the weekend, well done.

Right then back to the bike, seems as if one of the last owners has attempted to paint the mirrors and my painter told me it was not worth painting them as the finish wouldn't last, So could someone tell me the mirrors on the standard SV650s are they painted or plain black plastic??

I have striped all the paint off and tried to paint them myself but like my painter said it just wont take (not well enough for me anyway).

Is there an alternative to the curvy mirrors like GSXR or alike or is it back to Suzuki for originals?

If you think they'd suit the curvy I can direct you to the shop I got them from (sheffield). Think they look better than the gixxr ones people fit as they don't stick out quite as far, upto your taste though.
(if you fancy the gixxer ones consult the org before just buying them as they need some modification, ones I posted just bolt right on)

Liam,
think you can buy GSXR replicas from Busters or M&P, with the indicators & adjust for width of the bolt holes.

I bought a pair from Dirtydog, which I'm going to fit.

Think DD's are the same as mine.
When you're fitting them remember to fit small spade connectors in there. Didn't take this into account but when I decided I wanted to do a trackday, had to faff around slightly.
