Black marker pen over the blue bits.

Dunno, maybe post it in Idle Banter, as I doubt many people read the wanted section for no good reason.

I successfully managed to spary the plastic covers from my Cavalier with black satin Plasticote spray from Homebase. I'm no artist with spray cans, but the result was good.
I can't say that their gloss black Plasticote would work for Sv mirrors, but this is my experience

Check out the 'Diary of a Mark1 SV owner' on the home page of the org.

Its under articles and reviews. He shows how he refurbished his mirrors

Well had a visit today from DavieSV along with some lovely bits he made for my bike.
He's made me some bar ends and paddock stand bobbins out of stainless steel which obviously I couldn't resist polishing quickly but they are awesome bits of work and made to an extremely high standard and excellent finish to them.
He does them with different colour bands on for different colour bikes and then obviously it's up to you if you polish them or not.
Seriously though I'd recommend them to everyone on here as they are solid and weigh a hell of a lot for little bits.
If anyone is interested in them then just pm him.
here's some photos anyway

oh yeah and then this is what it looked like outside when I came out my greenhouse eventually

Whats up with the mirrors exactly?

Oh an boot - use radiator paint, a mate with a gsxr750 had an old scorpian can that had some horrible wear on it. Anyway so he painted it with the anamal paint he'd used on a radiator inside his garage, more for as an experiment than anything else but his gloss white can looked awsome!

damedged scratched and battered generally they are deep scratches and filling them doesn't work as the vibration will make the filler crack. why what you thinking?

And top idea with exhaust.

tbh I was thinking if its only scratches on the plastics then giving them a total rub down and primed then send them off to the place who've just painted the bike. Get the same work done on the mirrors as you have with the fairings.

You've done a top rate job with all the minor details etc, the mirrors are quite a sight on the SV so as above either spray them up the same as the bike or get some new custom manfacuterd ones.

Either way the bike isnt getting used for a while so its not something that need be rushed.

very true you might be right its me just wanting it done! also going to move the bike in to the conservator to keep rather than the greenhouse so might need some recruits in the near future ??

Yup. They don't grit this road and according to the woman next door, they only ran through the main road once last time we had bad snow.

Have to say, I'd like to have the Defender back now - what fun.
