The Construction and use regulations define the colour of the rear light/brake light red and bright red. a minimum distance between indicators, colour of indicators and flash rate.

simply disconnect the indicator function and you should be OK.

Ahhh i see thank you

Drew has got those but the pointy version ( i also want a set for mine)...... but he has also put mini's on so got both going.....

not had a problem as yet and the local garage said they would pass it on it's MOT due to some new cars now have indicators within the break light.

I wouldnt dismiss them, theres plenty of people riding about with illegal stuff on their bikes, exhausts, number plates etc.

Ride it out, see if you get pulled, it will only be a £30 fine when you do so I wouldnt worry about it.

If you like them, then keep them.

It is not the fact the indicators are integrated into the rear light that is the problem. It is the minimum distance apart (I think 240mm) that is the issue.

I also think, but do not have a copy of C&U any more that you are required to maintain a separate red light and cannot alternate it with the amber indicator

I work on the principle, why give plod a reason. Legal plate, legal exhaust.

I work on the principle of:

'the local plod can't be ar5ed to do their job properly and pull bikers - they prefer to support the use of speed cameras and have cut the number of traffic officers/cars, so I'll put what I like on my bike cos there's no-one to notice it any more'

+1

There not many people riding about with a 100% legal bike unless its standard...nearly every bike you seen has an exhaust without baffle for example.

I'll do as I have always done and take my chances.........but avoid wales lol
