I've never witnessed the police there first hand but it doesnt inspire confidence with bringing the bike there. So their high profile campaigns/spin have been working to some extent.....on me at least lol

I would rather not get pulled something as lame as indies, easliy D/C.

I like the look but as far as praticallity goes car drivers are bad enough on the road i dont need to give them another reason to ram me

Aswell as the min distance between indies (or from centreline of bike), I've got a feeling there's also a C&U rule saying there should be only one indicator showing to front and rear, with repeaters on side if fitted. Not sure how modern cars with indis in door mirrors get round this. It's probably explained here but I can't be ar$ed to look............

On this subject, does anyone else find that on the recent VW's with the indi as a circle round the rear (brake) light, the indis are all but impossible to see when the brake lights are on in daytime? Or is it just me?

So far (touch wood) I've been alright in North Wales too, I just tend to avoid the roads generally crashed on by power rangers, the coppers seem to prefer to target "problem" bikers, which I presume means the Sunday afternoon'ers tazzing it round.

Been followed by a couple of coppers, despite the stupid exhaust, although the second time it was snowing on the way down a mountain to Corris, I think the coppers were too busy laughing at me to want to give a ticket...

What's the point of these indis? Sure they look good, but they are IMO more trouble than they're worth.

P.s my plate is of legal size, but how much muck can you get away with having stuck to it?

Those built in indicators are illegal i'm afraid, the spacing between the left and right lamps is too short (to close together) but the police aren't to keen on them as they aren't that visable at times.

When it comes to lights the best thing to do is keep as close to standard layout as possible, this doesn't mean you can't change the bulbs to brighter ones (headlights). A motorbikes visibilty on the road is limited, why diminish it anymore?

As per what Lily said, I've not had any problems. Worst case, if you get pulled, its a £30 fine and you have to change it back. Not difficult.
