Has anyone of you got a silver pyramid bellypan on a curvy?
Mines not silver but it has a pyramid bellypan.

Bellypan my personal fave too - the full lowers just don't look right to me, kinda remind me of the old Suzi RF600, all one colour somehow doesn't quite look right. Perhaps we're just too accustomed to toothpaste colour schemes.

Anyhow, belly panned pointy, in my oh so humble opinion, looking quite mean

Mine used to look identical to that, apart from the exhaust and, eh, what appear to be blue valve caps? Then I binned it, and never got round to fixing the front panel, then I binned it again, and then both of the front panels and one of the rear ones was broken and there was hardly any point in fixing them and respraying in black, and the next thing I knew it was green But I dunno, I sometimes wish I'd stuck with the black, it's the best standard SV colour. And the bellypan looked absolutely spot on.

Northwind, your bike, with its unique paint scheme, looks class. Different, but subtle. I wouldn't swap that for black. Is it just me, however, or does the paint lack a bit of a gloss finish? Might just be the lighting. What's the gauge on the oil filler btw? Pressure or temperature?

I lost interest in polishing it up Or more precisely, lost interest in the whole accursed DIY respray project. I got the tank really good once, but since it's singlepacked the finish marks up as fast as I can polish it, so I settled for what you see there, which is kind of satiny. I always meant to get it cleared in 2-pack and really go to town on it, but never did.

It's temperature... Doesn't do very much, but it looks nice

i like the bike with both on, the fairings make it look more like the old R1 IMO. but the belly pan has got that certain something which makes it look agressive.

Also IMO with full farings you are more likley to see it ust as you wont take off the fairings to clean behind it.

My bike is in good nick woth clean pipes and engine, this is only down to the fact i can see it so it gets cleaned properly.

That pic was taken when I first bought the bike. I tried checking the tyre pressures and those horrid aluminium LED valve caps had corroded onto the valves. Its amazing how little some people check their tyre pressures!? It took two pairs of pliers to remove them, and they are now adorning my mates old maestro!

Your bike looks really cool with that paint scheme and the shelby stripes. I especially like the gold wheels - they would look ace on a bike with black paintwork though - retro 70's stylee

Fanks very much! Check out Billy's bike, his is in the OE black but with gold wheels and a GSXR front, very nice indeed.
