No no no no ya not getting it lol. I'd do the work but the sale price wouldn't change. I'm well aware that means £300 from my ktm/drz fund hence why i said im going backwards. It'd mean I'd have to save up for the supermoto wheels somewhere down the line which is dog poo poo but such is life.

I know people like to make custom changes to "make it their own" but this isn't that. this is maintenance, besides if it needs doing and I don't do it then I'm only going to make it worse an who's gonna buy a bike that when they turn up to see find it has worn pads? A tired looking tyre and a rattling front disc? They'll assume I've let it go an that I don't look after it. I definitely would if I turned up to view something and saw it needed imminent basic maintenance.

If I were looking to but a bike I'd look to buy one that I could spend a couple of quid making it my own. If I turned up to view one and saw it needed basic stuff doing then i'd be significantly put off.

Simply put, after everything £2200 in my pocket is worth more than a bike sat unsold with a for sale sticker on it. So if doing the work sells it then it worth doing.

God I feel so crap today. Been looking on ebay, couple of 26/27 year old xt600's on the bay which sound reasonably good condition with decent Service history.. Doesn't help that they're all in gloucestershire, essex, bosnia, cape town and the sea of tranquility on the moon.... Why are they all atleast 3 hours away?!

Waaaa Waaaa waaa quit ya crying I already have started. Picked some discs up off eBay last night at £40, jus this minute taxed it £36 and I'll be on eBay again for some pads and seals before the end of lunch. The tyre is good for 1000 miles yet an I recon I'll jus have that one off u Pauli pops. So ill have spent less than £200 and I'll have piece of mind. Everyones a chicken dinner!

Except Paul who still doesn't have an xt in this hemisphere.

They are the bigger 600's but still cheap, they are 10 years older than the other 250 and more expensive, but im sure you could knock them down.
