Apparently Stealth motorcycles will charge £10 per wheel for fitting.

I'm going to take the XT to them for MOT rather than go to Sheldon, they come recommended and when I phoned to get the SV MOT'd she didn't have availability. Instead of booking it for another day, I said I was going to phone Sheldon to see if they had a slot that afternoon, to which the reply was "No problem sweetheart, give us a call back if they can't take it and we'll book it in, if they can take it then at least you'll get your MOT and we'll see you some other time". I came off the phone thinking what a nice woman.

ASAP!

As soon as I've got the rear one fitted

And put my wheel back on

And fitted the chain

And taken the front wheel off and got that tyre fitted

And the bike MOT'd!

And done an oil, filter and plug change.

And the treads are big enough to kick some serious stones, so I wanna fabricate a bash plate before we go off road next too.

Next weekend??

Today is the last day of Sandrine's course, and the garden is all sorted, so my weekends free up a bit from here on in! I've done so much looking after Euan, and she's spent so little time with him, that she owes me a few weekends doing whatever the hell I want and him a few weekends of quality time. In 12 hours I'll be on the SV heading to Ireland for the weekend, but next Saturday I want to concentrate on the XT. Sunday 13th if I am lucky (13th lucky? ), or the weekend of the 19th/20th?

How did I end up with two pics the same? Here's the profile, they should roll, lean and grip on the road quite nicely.

Specialone having fun at the Ford behind Coughton Court tonight. Some good sections of laning to be done down there.

I nearly binned it once, must unlearn the road riders instinct for using the front brake when you need to slow down off road, and Specialone came out of one deep muddy pool in a completely different direction to that which he went in, and planted himself and the bike in a hedge, but unfortunately he was behind me and I missed it, damn!

And coming through Wooten Wawen, i gunned it (being a nob) coming out of the side road while peeing down with rain and powerslid the back end out and nearly lowsided it, very close to binning it.

I had a front wheel slide on a wet drain cover, so a few nears yesterday, all part of the learning experience i guess.

Some of the tracks the branches were really low and had to duck down a fair bit to pass under them.
