Default Faired to nekkid

Afternoon

Been toying with the idea of nekkifying my bike for a while as personally I thought the fairings were making the bike look a little dated. Always had an eye for streetfighters anyway.

Reason for my post is that I was wondering what I would really NEED for the nekkid conversion, bearing in mind that I am planning to retain the clip ons (at least in the short term) as I like riding with them. I identified that it could be a touch difficult to mount the clocks, so am opting to source a set of nekkid clocks for ease, and have already sourced obvious things like the lights. Mirrors could be a point of interest, may consider some bar end mirrors.

Wondered whether there might be any issues with wiring looms and hiding them? Also, will there be any issues with any of the mountings to an "S" top yoke?

Ta

Hiding the wiring's reasonably easy as long as you're happy to chop off the bits you don't want What sort of headlight are you planning to use? The OEM round one has space for wires in it.

I've been gifted a twin round headlight set up, didn't really fancy the big round one on its own, and the price was spot on for the twin light, free

I wasn't really intending to do much chopping of wires for that "just in case" reason of my wanting to return the bike to faired for any reason, thought perhaps some sort of aluminium box or something to hide them?

Nah, no mirrors at all. Naked bike + clip-ons - mirrors = cooool.

I've just done a few days commute with no mirrors and it was pretty evil... I'm too used to knowing what's happening behind me

Well the easiest way would be to buy this

The S and N models have different looms which would probably mean a bit of messing about to get the clocks from a naked to fit plus of course clocks for a naked are rearer than rocking horse poo unless you're willing to pay silly money for them

wouldn't it be easier to buy a naked and fit clipons to it ? Surely it would save a huge amount of faffing about ?
