It's going to have to be the regular pillion peg mounts, I think. Not ideal, but it's a fairly meaty can so it'll need a good mount. The Micron weighed much less, so it didn't need a hanger at all.

Tomorrow I'm going to see how much further forward I can get it without having clearance issues- it might be possible to get it close enough to mount off the peg bolts, but my suspicion is that it won't (and that it'd look a bit goofy if it did) There's also the option of making the link pipe properly load bearing. ie, not out of a tin of bob.

Option 3 is getting a bit more serious... The header won't space out to the right more than a mm or two, as it is, but it's all bent tubing rather than welded sections, so a good exhaust shop could either bend it or chop it, and get it out a little further to avoid the clearance problems. That could tie into one of the other vague ideas I've had- Arrow's R6 can has a small seperate pre-exhaust baffle which I could probably fit into the header before the can, if I have the dimensions right- could help make it all a bit more civil. It's not too loud for me as is, with the baffle in, but I wouldn't say no to making it just a touch quieter.

Oh yes. Getting the baffle out was an utter ****er

Also, when I was thinking about the link pipe, I tried something else that didn't so well...
