Is it fairly solid when fitted? Just concerned that its only fastened at one point, might be prove to vibration followed by cracking.

There is a little bit of movement at the tip of the hugger (maybe 5mm). As you say one fixing point. It's not excessive and there's no rubbing at all.
In terms of cracking - I doubt it - the build quality is really good. The right area's are thicker and it tapers to the edge. The Bald Git has had one on his curvy for quite some time and it looked perfect to me. |

hi, true, its fastened at one point by a m6 button head allen bolt with penny washer and stopped from rotating by an m5 bhab. i thought of cracking, thats why i use xc cloth around mounting point, going up hugger by about 1 inch.

On the original plastic one there are a few strengthening ribs to prevent this. I know this is fibreglass instead but would hate to see it crack after a few months.
