I made a shock protector to replace the rectangular plastic item. I am offering anyone who is interested, to buy one from me. It,s finished in polished black gelcoat, glassfibre layup. Price is £ 35 inc. p&p.[ unless you are in scotland, ireland, outer mongolia, etc, might cost a little more for postage ] Fits curvy / pointy sv650.

I went to see the Bald Git this week to have a look at these. Quality build, from a quality bloke that works in the marine industry.
Can't go wrong! |

hi, can only say from measuring my curvy, viewing from right side, centre top of wheel, 6" to tip of protector, about 1" down to tip. item is 1 1/2" wider than original and 4" higher. just like to say, i class this as more of a shock protector, than a all enveloping hugger. the original pointy protector is a good bit smaller than than the curvy, the tool box may be the reason. Rich sat on the bike and bounced up and down and my item did not hit tool box.

hi, no more pictures at present. its hard to take them without anything in the way. if you imagine the exhaust out of the way, follow the line from the protector that you see, down to the swing arm, it then goes forward following the inside line of swing arm.
