Default Pinlock Visor Inserts - Worth it?

As most others say, just a great bit of kit.

Just got a new lid which hasn't come with a Pinlock and I noticed the difference straight away while out on the road so just about to purchase a new one, can't stand riding without one. Being able to see, as someone has said, is kind of important

When it's cold and raining...

Glasses + pinlock = less than ace.

Daily contacts + pinlock = fan flipping tastic.

Check and see if Rain X Anti Fog is safe to use on your glasses. It is for use on glass so should be ok.

I've had 3 pinlocks on my Shoei and they all still get steamed up. I have to hold my breath at junctions which can be tricky if it's a slow set of traffic lights. It's as though they don't seal properly. Then again my Shoei leaks in the rain too, and if I put on the whisper kit my glasses steam up so badly I can't see anything. So I switch to my Caberg which hasn't got a pinlock and doesn't fog up at all.

Found pinlocks don't last forever, have had to replace after 18 months. Also had a visor fail to seal after one change - all i can think is the wee holes in visor are slightly oval and therefore not providing enough pressure even when fully adjusted, had to replace visor.

There still brilliant. Just need changing every so often.

I had a Caberg before this and it was awful, I could never fully shut the visor as it would steam up instantly. The new Shark is better but does still steam up but the chin vent seems to be effective at clearing it, mind you you have to be moving.

Will let you know how I get on with the pinlock when it comes, hoping its as good as people are saying as I ride all year round so would be very useful.
