My caberg shouldn't have fogged up, it was that fookin draughty. Still did though.

Sounds like the visor mech on your shoei is just badly adjusted.

Default Pinlock Visor Inserts - Worth it?

Got a shark vision r that fogs up very easily. Think ill be investing in pin lock now the temperatures are beginning to drop. Tried the anti fog spray but it wasn't much good.

I use a AGV K4 during the summer months with a tinted visor(when it's all sunny riding) but the shark has an integrated sun visor so is a better choice when the days are shorter (dark ride to work in morning, bright low sun on way home in afternoon).

Off the back of this thread just bought a new Arai visor and clear pinlock insert as unfortunately both were getting a bit scratched after 4 years of service.

Not cheap, but with winter coming I know what a scratched and fogged-up visor can do for your ability to anticipate hazards...

Your fortunate you don't have glasses.
Its a royal pain. All the trick sprays are no better than washing up liquid.
Much prefer contackts on the bike .better feild of vision ,but make my eyes look like pin holes

I have the reactive insert in my Arai. Yes it's expensive but worth it if you don't have an integral sun visor and don't want to stop every time the sun comes out to swap glasses or put sunnies on. My glasses steamed up in the rain at the weekend but not my visor, and the insert is about three years old now.

Ordered mine last night, sick of a misty visor when sat at lights, it was either that or stop breathing.

Had some minor fogging issues with my (now the mrs helmet) XR1100 but never had any in my neotec, although the neotec also has an insert to cover the nose which probably helps

Anyone using the yellow inserts for night / rainy weather riding? Just wonder whether it's worth getting one for the winter months?

Also what are the yellow inserts like on a sunny day with / without an integral sun visor in place?

My old man has one in his visor, uses it day/night and all year round. Takes the edge off bright lights during sunny days and at night.

Might just be worth a punt then, maybe make a nice xmas pressy

I do find oncoming traffic headlights a royal pain sometimes, might just do the trick!

So got my pinlock today but im after some advice.

I have a Shark S700 but the pinlock they sent says its for a Shoei CX7-1 visor also says Pinlock DKS2. I gather they must fit multiple visors. I reluctant to open it until I can find out, my order says clear pinlock for Shark S700.

Cheers
