Our local Morrisons had two car sized bays reserved as "Motorcycles and Scooters only", but there was always cars in the bays. Morrisons only had to put a few bollards in to enforce it, but never did. Now the paint has eroded away. I would park in a whole bay there without a seconds thought.

Like to see that bloke that moved the bike deal with moving the dogs lol!!! How do i alarm them... give them each a big bone and then watch as people approach them lol!! Back to the OP... there is no excuse for rude behaviour from a shop assistant... she does have the right to refuse service, but not be rude about it. i would have taken it further and seen her supervisor for her behaviour. I always get ID'd and it drives me nuts!! |

That's because you've got such good skin, with no wrinkles or signs of age. You should consider yourself lucky, but this makes it very difficult to tell now old you are.
I look a lot younger than my age too. The last time that I was asked for ID in a supermarket was when I was 39 and they thought that I was underaged! |

For the big supermarkets I tend to park mine near the entrance, like behind the trolley stores. However my reason for not parking in the main spaces is that I'm too worried that some idiot would start parking in it and only realise too late that a bike is in it. Or even worse, one of those people who park forwards (just wrong!) instead of reversing in, and thus have a stupid car
![]() Edit: Just realised I necro'd. XD |

Stores/supermarkets round here do not have such things as motorcycle parking. We do not even have them in the town centre. you're supposed to park in a car park and buy a pay/display ticket.
I have parked my bike on the pavement in front of my local Asda and it has immediately been bashed by trolleys/prams. The safest place to leave it is in a parking bay. Right in the middle of the bay so a car does try to sqeeze along side you

Incidently whilst working for Tesco the worst I got was someone walking up to me at nearly 9pm and shouting 'MILK'. That was it, no explanination about 'I'm looking for' or aything like that. Just 'MILK' Also got bad service plenty of times. The best was from the cable company when they scr*wed up whilst I was moving. I called and complained that they charged 30 quid for admin costs and then still got it wrong. He just said did I know how hard it was to change the addreses in their system and it was tough. I said I developed your system I knwo exactly how easy it was ![]() Oh and I got asked for ID until I was in my late twenties. Worst was at the pub where my aunt worked. I didn't have ID and she said she'd only vouch for me if I was buying ![]() |

Supermarkets, my favourite subject. I could write and essay on my local Tesco but will resort to just a few statements. Child gets knocked over in the car park, ask manager if he is going to repaint the zebra crossing on which she got bumped....NO! I explain that as part of his planning application conditions and for the safety of the public, road markings should be maintained (this zebra crossing was just black tarmac) - He walked off.
Same day but later after school....small child and young mum turn the corner by a zebra crossing outside the store ground alongside railings and nearly gets clobbered by a car and the car gets shunted up the back by white van man. Reason - The railings, which are public property owned by the council have Tesco Banners all over them showing their latest offerings.....a local councillor happend to be getting his car washed witnessed the incident and went straight to the manager to ask for the banners to be removed - Manager scuttles off into the back store not to be seen againl. Councillor organises for an inspector the next day to visit the store....Manager and 2 of his cronies are chaperoned to the banners to remove them and later that day new markings added.....creating havoc in the car park. Perhaps some customer service is taught by senior staff like this manager! |
