33bhp isn't a "Prove or your done for law" it's the coppers who got to prove you to be wrong. the whole certificate thing is a waste of time. When the coppers give you your bike back give them a massive bill for taxis everywhere. Soon stop them.

I'd be hassling them ALOT today if I were you. I don't see how they have any reason to suspect it was derestricted if you were parked up...

Agreed, there is no way they could possibly suspect it wasnt restricted if you werent even moving! And even if you where going quick isnt really a justifiable reason either (unless going busa speeds of course )

I am too on 33bhp and i don't have anything to prove its restricted ...... but it is and if i had mine impounded i wouldnt be happy as i wouldnt even beable to get to work ..... i work a good 24 miles out and start work at 7.30am most mornings.

I agree and disagree with what has just been written.

There are "jobsworth" types in every aspect of modern life. The bottom line is, They end up causing bad feeling and bad experiences like JuJu's had.

I myself had to deal with some little jumped up Sargeant a few years ago who issued me with an endorsable fixed penalty notice for, wait for it, parking on a zebra crossing!

The fact that I was stopped on the zig-zags in a traffic jam and not on the crossing itself was irrelavant to him. It was a clear case of a Napolean complex.

But I went to court, defended myself and literally made a fool of the copper and won.

I recieved no money for the day off I had to take etc, but if I had lost, I would have had to pay the fine, court costs and receive points.
That is fundamentally wrong.

Generally speaking the police are up against it with paperwork etc and not doing the job they should be doing.

Unfortunately, the police in this instance have done more damage to the level of respect the OP will ever have for them, causing resentment.

The police generally don't do themselves many favours in instances like this. The copper in question should be made an example of and made to appolagise for the grief caused to the OP if found to be legit.
