why not do it now. if there is one thing breiffs hate and thats being dragged out on a sunday night, if you understand what i mean.

they have theoretically 'stole' your bike m8 and if you dont understand that then there is more to this post than what you are saying.

if it were me, i would be going ballistic and would have had to lock me up by now. at which point i would have spoken to my breiff.

Erm, Bibio...unless you are locked up for some MEGA serious offence in Scotland, no, you would not have had a chance to speak to your solicitor.

I would put money on the fact that no solicitor would come out on a Sunday night for this. And if they did, the OP would have to have bucket loads of money to pay his bill!

The solicitor can wait til tomorrow.

I have to admit, I'd have gone bonkers by now and would have had a solicitor well on the case.
Then theres the compensation for loss of use of bike, having to use public transport, stress etc...

In which case you would have access to the Duty Solicitor I believe. However the OP is not locked up and at the moment is aggreived at police behaviour.
Bibio - I challenge you to help the poor guy out, rather than berating him for not acting like you would. FIND him a solicitor, NOW, who would be willing to talk to him about his issue. You MAY find one, at an impressive cost for a sunday evening call, but I doubt even that!
