Okay so what was the conservation you had with the police then? What lead up to the bike being taken?

Were these officers in uniform? If not did they show you any ID?

They're definitely police, as i said, I've spoken to their inspector and through a few friends in the local force I've found their names and spoke to the officers but I keep getting passed on and pushed off to someone else.

Ah okay sorry its a lot to read...In that case I would be getting myself down there tomorrow to make a complaint to the the duty Insp. All complaits have to made to the duty Insp well here any way. Then as Lozzo said get laywer. This just sounds wrong, from what I read here but I can only go on what you have you have said. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

This is what you need to do.

Get LEGAL ADVICE FFS. Even the Citizens advice will help.

And why havent you gone down the station with your restriction certificate? This will end this once and for all.

You just seem very very calm for someone who has had thier bike taken. Personally i would be down the station every day until this is sorted. I was also under the impression that Traffic only delt with things of this nature and that traffic were the only officers that were qualified to deal with this kind of thing.

What ever happens, i would be down there with all my paper work (Licence, MOT, Insurance, Restriction certificate) and No win No fee solicitor type (White Daltona as said) and demand the return of your property.

I would be make LOTS of noise about this. LOTS, not sitting on this hear forum listening to us lot droning on about the police.

If they had confisgated my bike, they wouldnt have taken the keys until i had, as said paperwork stating that they have possesion and under what offence i had.

Im sorry to say dude, but i think they are playing on your young side on this.

A firend at work had a similar situation, as in she had to produce her restiction cert, and was given a 7 day producer. She turned up with the pepr work, job done.

FB never got a certificate, bike was restricted using second hand restricted ECU (hence no certificate given / produced)
