I seem to recall from the dim past reading that the Aprilla RS fails the 33 bhp rule for that reason------Its too light.

In his last post flameboy said he was going to give us the full story later, or words to that effect.

I've already read all the posts, and was hoping for more good news, that's all.

aprillia rs125 doesnt come into play as they dont make 33bhp,

i think there more like 25bhp, however if someone wants to bring a dyno if a normal rs125 producing that ill buy em a beer, ( dont want to place to much on it)

Sorry but you have missed the point completely.

A bike producing 10bhp could be illegal for the A2 license if it was light enough.

with the restricted license you may not ride above 25KW OR 0.16KW/Kg

I think what he is saying is that they don't actually make 33bhp only about 25bhp on a dyno. This means that by the time you calculate the power/weight ratio using the true rear wheel HP the power/weight ratio then will fall below 0.16KW/kg

How about something like a DRZ then. That's quite a popular bike with new riders and they must make somewhere around the 33bhp mark yet weigh in at less than 150kg? To be honest the power to weight aspect hadn't even occurred to me and I'd wager 99% of other coppers wouldn't have a clue either.
