Quick update,

saw practise Nurse today, had all the dressings changed, apparently thr wounds look fine , no sign of infection, got to go back on Christmas eve for the staples to be removed, oh what a jolly time that'll be .

Also saw GP, got some more Tramadol, so no great need to hit the scotch just yet.

All in it a bit of a result, although just a single trip out to the health centre has knackered me out.

Cheers Mark.

Couple of weeks until I see the man himself, waiting the appointment through the post, as to wtether it's worked or not, probably a month or two I'd guess.

Cheers Mark.

Hi Mark,

It sounds like things are going relatively well so far - this is good news. How are things on the pain front compared to last time? I know you were in complete agony so much of the time a year ago, I'm hoping that it's not the case this time around?

Either way, I'm wishing you well and will try and pop over in the post-Xmas pre-New Year week (though I'm aware there's another thread on here for that sort of thing!).

Hi Caz, Actually it's not that bad, the hip wound doesn't really hurt at all, apart from the odd time I roll on to it by mistake, the leg whilst it hurts, not nearly as much as it did the few weeks before surgery, so that's good, everything is pretty much held tight in the brace for the next few weeks so no real chance of any unexpected pains.

I'm managing most day's without pain relief and only need a couple of tramadol to sleep.

sticky toffee puddings at the ready

Cheers Mark.

Whilst the whole thing is obviously deeply unwanted, I'm glad that things are sounding more manageable this time.

I'll let you know, as soon as I can, when it may be necessary to go onto sticky toffee pudding alert .
