My consultant kept on saying "At this point, if I have anything to tell you, it'll be bad news", then he'd just wander off and not tell me anything and I'd be terrified to ask Definately sounds like good progress though.

Well not alot happening here, still very much a wait and see (seems like I've been waiting forever already), birthday treat was a pain free day, well about twice my normal dosage of painkillers actually, needless to say paid for it this morning and was violently ill, but that's normal for me if I take enough to actaully kill all the pain, can't have it both ways I suppose .

I'm constently surprised that I find new thresholds of boredom and frustration, but I do, couple more weeks until the next hospital appointment.

Cheers Mark.

diabetic check Tuesday morning, walked around to the surgery (about a mile) OK took some time and had to stop in a couple of places, but managed it in a hour or so, and better still the knee wasn't so painfull and easier with the 30 degrees of bend.

All's well levels are fine ( I've worked hard to keep them as good as possible so it doesn't hinder my recovery at all), only downer was the lost of another 2lbs in weight, now 10st 12lbs.

Cheers Mark.

Consultants appointment today.

it's all good, gold star for my paitence apparently, but the ligament appears to be holding, so he's given me 60 degrees of movement and full weight threw the knee, no more need of crutches, just a stick for support.

Had the big lecture on it being weak and needing to build up the muscles and all that, but he's happy for me to give it a few weeks and then go to 90 degrees myself, he said to let the pain be my guide as to how much to do (he obviously doesn't know me that well ), but as much walking as I like, still a causious on stairs and stuff, we talked about riding the bike and he said it'd be better to used the brace for stability.

so dependent on how much I can do, it all systems go. walked back for the hospital, ached a lot and weak as a kitten, but the join wasn't to bad at all.

got my first Physio in 4 weeks and I'd like to maintain my previous tradition and turn up on a bike

Cheers Mark.
