Maybe line the inside of the screen so its only visible when sitting on the bike. It could also do with being more concave (or convex or whatever it is) as to prevent image distortion a bit as well as deflect headlights/sun as previously mentioned.

You can buy curved mirror glass which does exactly the same thing.I have tried them but found the distortion off putting. Plain mirrors properly set and obs for me please.

No seriously though, if you've dozed off enough to forget basic CBT level obs and lost all spatial awareness that something has come into your mirror and then disappeared into your blind spot then you are probably too dozy at that moment to check any mirror properly, curved one or not.

I'm a bit amazed that he claims it gives 180 degrees of view when you are sat right in front of it. Some kind of X-ray mirror that can see through the rider?
