Got the OEM fixtures from TCP Aerodynamics through Robinssons - excellent service and the kit + instructions seem to be very good.

Of course I forgot to order the Air Intake scoops, so another order for Robinssons after xmas. Need to see if there is something else I need so I could save on P&P.

The fairings are now sanded to 600 grade. Next job is to put a primer color on and then re-sand to make sure all scrapes are gone.

I ordered stickers as well. I'll put silver colored SUZUKI text to the bottom part of the fairings and a SVR logo to replace the SV650 logo... I know, it's not R.

I wonder how would a full faired red SVs look like with _black_ lowers...

I've not had the time to complete the fairings yet, we started to renovate/rebuild and old garage with some mates to get a decent building/repair place for our bikes. Quite frankly it has been a lot more work than we thought - for example we needed to dig trenches around it as the water insulation was poor and the ceilings were leaking. We don't want it to rot so something needed to be done.

So, as the season is starting soon (though it is snowing again) I was thinking of just priming the lowers with black satin color installing them like that. Then I'll use some rainy summer day to properly get them colored.

As much as we'd like to sometimes Apparently we're getting snow again at the weekend. Joy.

Hi Mike,

Try Robinsons (http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/)

The TCP Aerodynamic part numbers are 803.430.002 (right) and 803.431.002 (left).
Cost including P&P to Finland was 21.32 Sterling.

Thanks,
Ville

Returning to the subject of lazily fixing the fairings;

As pointed above I might not have time to properly paint the fairings --> one option is to make them just black. Now one friend suggested to use a customized sticker to cover the lowers.

I'm now trying to find out where to get (in a reasonable price) sheets of Carbon sticker, it is said to bend nicely over forms if one uses a heat gun to mold it.. It would not be real carbon, too expensive, but a sticker with similar pattern. Should look ok from distance.
