New shock arrived today
This feels nice and solid and is well finished. I originally wanted a black spring for a black SV but there was a 6 week wait so I guess the red and black will have to do. It's guaranteed for 2 years, rebuildable and serviceable.
Preload and comp/damping are all set up for my weight and it can go straight in but I'll have to wait until the weekend to fit it. Aim to check the shock linkage at the same time - if I can get the bolts out. I'm praying the bearings aren't fubar. |

Dare I ask how much? That will look nice on a black bike, best colour.

I'd give the linkages a good dosing in WD40 or similar to make sure they are undo able. esp if they are that corroded. Nice looking shock you'll have to keep us update to how well it performs.

http://www.shock-factory.co.uk/m-shocks-home.html I thought I'd take a punt on it. The guy that makes them says he does lots for SV650s although I've seen no reviews. Not much about them on the internet at all in fact apart from on Ducati Scrambler forums, where they seem to get a good press. |

I'll post a review of the shock once I've done a few miles on it. |

Re: New shock arrived today
Very happy with it. It came already set up so I haven't adjusted it at all. I had it on its own at firs and noticed immediately it was more comfortable, smoother and just soaked the bumps up. A couple of weeks later, I upgraded the front with new springs and emulators and its a different bike. It has poise, is much more stable and for me, the braking feel (no dive) is so much better.

Can't wait for my springs and emulators to come next week. I've ordered YSS pd valves, what emulators did you get?

Re: New shock arrived today
They are the old Debrix ones. I got a pair of fork legs with springs and emulators already in that matched my weight. I only had to swop my existing forks out, which made the whole process very simple.
