Sometimes the hid just wouldn't start up, or I'd be out for a run and when I stopped one of them was off when it was on before. The high/low solenoids wouldn't always flick properly, because the way the relay controls them they only get an activating voltage for a second, so if they don't move the complete distance in that second they jump back to the original position. One of the angel eyes wouldn't always work either despite buying new ballasts.

They were more trouble than they were worth. And these new projectors put out a lot of light considering it is only 55W (one for dipped, one for high beam). A hell of a lot more than the dominators which had 2x55W. The spread of light is the same as the hid's, just not quite as intense.

Sweet, cheers for that. Was just about to convert an old headlight into projector HID's, but will now reconsider. Don't fancy wasting £100 on **** HID's!

If you are getting hid's stay away from bi-xenon ones. It's just more wiring and more stuff to go wrong.

I will be using one dipped and one main beam unit, in each side of the pointy's factory headlight unit, just need to decide which lights I want to fit!
