I bought a short cigarette lead from towzatronics that was fused and a male to female cigarette extension lead that is routed from under the pillion seat to the front of the bike so i can power sat nav and so on. All cost around £11.

Bought a cigar socket and a connector for the optimate. Now when I want to use the cigar socket I open the rear seat connect it the the optimate connector that runs from the battery and bingo. When I don't use it I just unconnect it. No flat battery.
Weatherproof Fused Eyelet Lead for Optimate 4 charger. The cigarette socket connects to this under the rear seat. ![]() 12v Motorcycle Chassis Cigarette Socket. Snip the ends off and remove the fuse, replace with an optimate connector from maplin. Ste. |

Used a male optimate plug and soldered the terminals. I plug this into the female optimate lead so it powers the Sat Nav whilst I'm going along, but I also bought a Optimate cigarette power socket, so I can charge my phone up or connect anything else via this Optimate plug & terminals also available on Evilbay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Can anyone recommend a pump which is small enough to chuck in with your luggage for a trip away from home?

Just use the garages air pumps and take your own gauge with you, saves carrying one around. I wouldnt have thought you would lose that much if checked beforehand anyway, mine hardly loses any, takes weeks to drop 2 psi if that. |

No I don't have a puncture at all. But if I were in the middle of nowhere and got one, it would be nice just to stick some sticky string in it and whip out the electric pump, plug it in, switch on, wait a few minutes, then be on my way again. I know (because I have had them in the past) there are the gas canisters. But a pump would mean an end to having to replace the cartridges each time I used them. Was just wondering if anyone had seen such a thing as a compact compressor which could be easily stowed on the bike.
