Default Top speed?

Guys, havin a chat with my brother n he reckons my sv650(naked) will kick his **** up to about 120mph n then his fz6(naked) will will **** all over me!?! Fair enough v-twin vs in-line 4 but i go about 10 1/2 stone, 5,7" n he`s 17(ish) stone, 6,3". Surely that`s a big factor. Will the fz6 do 160ish? or as i suspect, is he talkin outta his tea towel holder?

More like 140 ish but with his big frame catching all that wind it will probably be less

139! i'm surprised at that, i got 140 indicated on mine and it was revved out, 11.5k in top! and i was tucked in, and it's an S!

as for the sv vs fazer...maybe p*ss all over you isn't the right word but i would guess from about 100 an IL4 (talking 600s here) would have the advantage, from what people normally say (never ridden one myself).

The S runs upto 90 pretty fast then is a bit slower to hit 120 and is really slow upto 130.
Best I've managed is 138 indicated and that took quite a few while tucked in on a very long straight private track (So it's probably only really 120 actual)

I think it might be just a bit of sibling rivalry, he`s 8 years younger. Talking about top speeds, do they still say to take 10% off of the speedo for a true speed? As surely in this day n age of modern tech your speedo should be more accurate. I mean how can my naked do 139 and a S do 140, the S is surely faster? Other factors are of course, down hill, wind behind u, light fuel load and what is the square root of a gnats chuff? (randomly!)
