Tried and tried prizing them apart today. I gave up and bit the bullet. I pushed the mother about 3/4 of a mile to my local garage. Doesn't sound much of a distance but in the searing heat was a pain. The guy simply went at it with a couple of flat head screwdrivers and managed to fit it back on the discs within about 4 minutes. I watched to see if he was toucking the inside of the brake pads but everything seemed ok. So problem solved i guess.

Hi there
I have the same problem with my SV650S k3. I need to buy and change a speedo rotor but I have no idea where I can buy it. I checked on internet by I couldn't find anything. Please could you help me and tell where I can buy the speedo rotor. If you could give me any link with shops/sellers/suppliers etc.
Thank you for your help.

If I were you I'd get a new one, I tried getting a second hand one when then also packed up, even the one the dealer fitted packed up (because of a bur apparently), but then they had to replace it FOC.

Thanks for your advice. I will go to suzuki dealer tomorrow (I hope that they have it) and I will try to exchange it during the weekend. Im from Manchester so I'll try to check the suzuki dealers around, maybe one of them will have it on stock.
Thanks

My dealer had to order it, but then I am in Cornwall, however it came within a couple of days.

Go here, select the year and model and find the part number.

http://alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm

Copy the whole part number

Then go here. Look at "Online Shop" on the left. Click on parts. Paste the number, and hopefully you'll get a price and can place an order if you so wish.

Usually get the parts within 3 days. The chances of a Suzy dealer having that part on the shelf is very remote.

I just rang the Abingdon Suzi dealer and they ordered it in for £17.45 or so. Picked it up a few days later, job done.

Question Re: Speedo rotor replacement

Hi Guys.
Thanks for all your help. I checked today my moto and I think that it's a bigger problem. The speedo rotor looks like a new. I was really surprised! I checked all the cables and the there is the power, so I think that maybe it's a speedo sensor ₤102! I don't know what can cause this problem if the speedo rotor is ok. Do you know maybe where can I find a cheeper speedo sensor, I checked ebay but there is nothing for SV.
