let me explain a little of what the Gizmo does.
think of a household multiway extension cable. you plug things into it and by using the switch on the wall you can turn everything on and off, now imagine that the ignition on your motorbike is the switch. so by turning your ignition on and off you would turn the Gizmo on and off and whatever items you plug into the gizmo e.g. heated grips, aux lights, 12v acc socket. for charging USB items you would need to also get a 12v acc socket and a USB charging plug that plugs into the socket which you plug your USB cable into. the Gizmo connects to your battery and your rear brake light switch so when your ignition is on it activates a relay which allows power to the extension tails. its then up to you what you plug into the gizmo. the gizmo is not a constant on device but instead turns on and off with the ignition. i might be doing myself out a sale here but if you just want to charge a USB device then you might be better off with a 12v acc socket connected straight to the battery and a USB plug-in. |

Yes, just connect this to the battery terminal and the other connection goes on the rear brake light switch i think, which powers the relay and so the gizzmo only powers your electrical devices when the ignition is on. If i remember correctly.
then buy either a cigarette lighter kit and connect it to the the gizzmo or if you want usb, then buy a usb lead kit. go on ebay and search for waterproof motorcycle usb, you'll get what you want. Bib's kit comes with the bullet connectors to wire it to the gizzmo.

As bibio said above if you just want a USB socket as I did just buy waterproof motorcycle usb. I wired mine directly to the battery and added a switch inline so it's not constantly on

I see. What I really want is to hook up something that can connect inside my givi top box with the metal plate connectors givi use for their lighting kits but I'm going to have to do some more go ogling for this I think
