Water having a lower viscosity will probably mean it will jump about more quickly, oil should have some damping effect.

You can get the same effect by closing off the tubes somewhat to limit flow rate. Carbtune uses a piece of capillary tubing in the big tube to restrict the flow to stop them bouncing about

i was thinking about that the higher vicosity would help like a dampening affect. or i have some old oil from my last oil change that might do the job as its nice an black so easy to see

Careful that doesn't bite you in the *rse, used oil tends to stain clear tubing fairly badly.

Oh your in bham! you can have some of my 2stroke oil and syringe mate dont need it. I can drop some off whenever, always pottering around bham.

ok i wont use old oil then bad idea. yes mate im in bham just off hagley road wolverhampton road cross roads.
well it wont be next week as im back up in lincoln for the week but im off for two weeks so will be doing it then
