the bike is a 2005 sv650s 3rd owner 9500 miles. the bike is sweet as a nut fully serviced a 100 miles ago it is running a fi international restrictor kit using the throttle stop and the inlet washers . when i fill up i have it on the side stand and usually get around 14 quids worth in there. down to my riding i haven't been riding the bike long so not full confident on it so its not like im riding it hard, epecially in the bends. on the dual carriage ways i will have a quick blip up to a ton and then drop back to 75 80. i am going to retest this i will fill the tank to the brim and clock it on my trip to when the light first comes on.

use this...

http://www.torquecars.com/tools/uk-mpg-calculator.php

I worked out 70 miles covered at £14 quids worth of petrol at £160.9 per litre = 36.57 MPG.
but 70 miles seem way way too short for a full tank........
avarage should be in at 100 + to a tank.

what do you think people...

So far I've had between 135 - 155 miles to the light...I've discovered the my '01 curvy is not a fan of twisty 20 mile commutes compared to long trips. About 30 miles to the solid light and I'm yet to run it to empty. Bad luck with 70

www.fuelly.com is pretty good too and interesting to see how your motorsickle is fairing (did you see what I did there? )

I would try ripping that restrictor kit out and fit the restricted ECU, they change hands for reasonable money in the for sale section and should restore the bikes economy.
Mine is an un-restricted K6 and i get an average of 63mpg over 3000 miles, thats 150 ish to the first warning light, from there it takes approx 12 litres to brim on it's side stand = 5 litres remaining in the 17L tank

to the warning light my worst has been 126 miles and the best 189.

Something sticking out to me is the £14 to tank it up!

I am sticking £19-20 in a tank on my K3. Unless your onto some cheep fuel i think that's where the problem is bud.

Just for the record i ride pretty hard and that tank full gets me to 110 before the light comes on.

Only once or twice have a ever had more than 140 out of my tank.

£14's of fuuel
This is like 10 litres?
The sv is ment to do like 44mpg
So about 100 miles worth of fuel
Light come on when you haver about 30 mines left, so that woulkd be why his light is coming on at 70 miles?

I get 140 mile on a £16 full tank 2000 curvey which I think is good considering I give it a bit of a twist quite often lol

Talking about fuel in £ is daft in my opinion, the price is so variable, in one day I fueled up at £1.32.9 p/l and £1.44.9 at a motorway services.
