good skills mate.

I would end up using a blowtorch, a metal rod, some lube.

Thieving scum need some form of punishment

You totally did the right thing. Kids these days have no fear because the police and justice system are so lame and forgiving. Only thing to stop him trying to nick bikes is the fear of being lamped by an irate owner. Now go into more detail of how hard you (didn't) hit him .

I very much doubt you will find anyone hear that thinks you did the wrong thing. Good on you

I always thought it was an unwritten rule, "don't mess with someone’s bike or car, if you do you better make dam sure you can run faster than the owner because anything goes if they catch you".
